Forum Launch Coming in June

I'll hammer out an exact day, but I've confirmed today that the forum will launch this June. Early June. That way, we can start establishing a good community, the very structure of any good website. Really, the forum is ready at this point minus a bit of tweaking here and there, so those will be completed over the next month.

This is your chance to influence the forum! Feel free to post a comment suggesting areas or sections that you'd like to see included. I'll be previewing some more of the site at that time, so look forward to it.

When that day comes, a new home page will be introduced, which will tease the final launch day of the website and include a redirect to either this blog or to the forum. Should be fun, see you there!

As the months fly by...

Believe it or not, there HAS been work done over the last couple months!  It was really more of a situation where I find myself wondering if I'm talking to myself here, so I tend not to upate.  However, Sage shamed me into keeping this thing going, so I suppose it's time to talk about what is done, what needs to be done, and the plan for the road ahead.

Just this last week, Sage has pumped out new code for a variety of pages on the site, leaving me with plenty of time to begin uploading more of my content.  In addition, we've just finished work on a newer control panel that will overall prove to be much more versitile in the long run.  It's certainly exciting, as I can see we're closing in the finished product!

July is still the release date, although starting in either May or June, we'll begin something of an advertising campaign.  Keep your eyes open for contests, articles, and the grand opening of the forum sometime before the release of the site.  The absolute final "due date" we have set is July 22, but I think we might have it open for your consumption on the 12th!  Fingers crossed...

Despite hanging ads around, I've still yet to receive any offers for help.  So I've continued doing things solo (with Sage's help, of course).  Hoping to pick up extra staff after we open though, as my vision is quite clearly much bigger than my own individual ability (or it is in a reasonable time frame anyway).

Going to the San Diego Comic Con?  Send me an email! You can get me at xen@legendaryfansite.com.  I'd  be happy to meet up with you, discuss the site, Hercules, or the weather.

Thanks for reading, look forward to seeing you all come together on The Legendary Fansite!
